Public notice of first draft permits

Together with Aramis we’ve reached a next step in our process. The first batch of draft permits and the associated Environmental Assessment report (EIA) are now accessible to the general public on the RVO website. From September 13th to October 24th, 2024 any interested person or party may submit a point of view.

Jointly with five other projects, CO2next forms the Aramis initiative. Aramis aspires to build large-scale CO2 infrastructure enabling captured CO2 to be stored in empty gas fields under the North Sea. All the permit applications are coordinated in one procedure, to create a coherent set of documents. Due to its size and scale, the project requires several rounds of permit applications. This is the first batch.

Public meetings
From 13 September to 24 October 2024 you can submit a point of view. You are welcome to attend one of our public meetings and speak with representatives of the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth and the Aramis initiative. They will provide additional information about the project and answer any questions. The sessions run from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm on:

· 26 September at Fort 1881, Hoek van Holland
· 3 October at Cultureel Centrum de Man, Oostvoorne
