The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Change published the draft Notitie Reikwijdte en Detailniveau (c-NRD) for the Aramis initiative on Friday 10 June 2022. The memorandum contains the frameworks for the environmental impact report for the Aramis initiative.

CO2next intends to realise a terminal for landing, storing and transhipping of liquid CO2 in the Aramis initiative. Therefor CO2next and Aramis take a joint approach in the permitting procedures, which are coordinated by the Ministry of EZK as this falls under the Rijks Coordinatie Regeling (RCR).

Environmental impact

The Notitie Reikwijdte en Detailniveau describes which specific environmental effects will be investigated in the MER procedure and with what depth. The draft version of this memorandum is now available for viewing. Everyone can respond to the memorandum by submitting a view until Thursday 21 July 2022.

The c-NRD is the continuation of the Notification of Intention and Participation Proposal phase.

Information meeting

On Tuesday 21 June 2022 everyone is welcome at the information meeting that the Ministry of Economic Affairs is organising together with Aramis and CO2next. This meeting will take place at: Mijn Torpedoloods in Hoek van Holland from 19.00 to 21.00. At the walk-in meeting you will find information about the project and the procedure. Staff from the initiators and the Ministry of Economic Affairs will be present to answer your questions.
